Here’s another way to help you clean out and organize! We are collecting books that are looking for a new home. Union Rescue Mission takes donated books and turns them into jobs for the unemployed, meals for the hungry and life-altering services for the homeless. They take most any books, even tattered or water-damaged volumes. A company called New Leaf takes everything possible and recycles the rest – nothing goes to the landfill. In addition to books, they also take used CDs and DVDs. If you want a receipt for your donation, you can take your books to the drop off location: 3250 E 27th St, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. On Saturdays and Sundays books can be taken to the Mission Shelter at 2800 N Hillside OR the Trinity Mission Committee will periodically take them for you. There will be a box marked ‘Used Books’ in our library.
