Recap of January Session Meeting

The Trinity Session met on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 5:30 p.m.  A quorum of elders were present.  The meeting was opened with prayer by Pastor McKinnon.

The minutes of the December meeting were approved.  Additions to the January Agenda:  election of church treasurer, and yearly review of membership list.

The statistical report for 2019 was reviewed by the Clerk of the Session and approved.  This report will be sent to the General Assembly offices.  Active men are 13 and active women are 50.  This report will be included in the 2019 Annual Report in more detail.

There was a motion by Elder Don Martinson to approve the election of Elder Ruth Ann Smith as treasurer for 2020; motion passed.  A motion by Elder Jim Bruggeman to appoint Elders Wayne Orr and Nancy Taylor to audit the financial records for 2018 and 2019, seconded and approved.

Elder Wayne Orr presented the proposed budget for 2020.  On motion by Elder Mary Ann Chitwood it was accepted and approved with changes in Christian Education which was increased to $1,000.00 and Vacation Bible School was reduced to $0.00

The agenda for the Annual Congregational Meeting was presented and amended. The Pastor’s Report will precede the Statistical Report.

A Session Retreat is scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m.  The Fellowship supper at the Anchor Restaurant has been rescheduled to Friday, 31 January.

Reports from the Property, Missions, Pastoral   Care   &   Prayer, Congregational Life and Christian Ed committees were given with no actions needed.

Next meeting of the Session will be February 19, 2020 at 5:30 p.m.
