“For What Are We Waiting?” Isaiah 64:1-9 and Mark 13:24-37. When we say “come, Lord Jesus, come,” we are not just waiting for the nativity or for this Jesus who will come at some time we do not know in clouds with power and glory.  During Advent, we are waiting for signs and symbols, teachings and actions of the daily, ordinary moments when Christ breaks through to make his hope-filled, healing, compassionate divine presence to us so that we can experience a transforming moment in our spiritual lives.
