Trinity Church Core Beliefs

Biblically Grounded

The Bible faithfully gives us the good news of the Triune God - Creator, Christ, and Holy Spirit. The Bible witnesses to the power of the Spirit, the one loving God incarnate in Jesus Christ, who came to live in the world, die for the world, and be raised again to new life.

Historically Informed

Throughout the life of the church confessions were written to express the faith of the Church. The confessions uphold the affirmations of the Protestant Reformation - grace alone, faith alone, scripture alone.

Communally Nurtured

Through the congregation, God's people carry out the ministries of proclamation, sharing the Sacraments, and living in covenant life with God and with each other.

Ecumenically Involved

The Church seeks to include all people and is never content to enjoy the benefits of Christian community for itself alone. Because in Christ the Church is one, it strives to be one. To be one with Christ is to be joined with all those whom Christ calls into relationship with Him.

Socially Engaged

Through its mission in the world the church seeks to bear witness to God's reign through the sharing of the gospel, acts of compassion, work for justice and peace, and the care of creation. The church's mission represents the living out of our prayer for the world.
