IDEA - Interfaith Defenders for Environmental Action, is a local mission project of Trinity Presbyterian Church and other faith groups, which was born in April 2026, as an action inspired by the "Faith + Climate Forum" we hosted; live-stream nationwide ecumenical full-day workshop. A leadership team decided that a local project that we could take on would be to encourage the reduction of single-use plastic bags and provide alternatives.
We are collecting clean plastic grocery/retail bags which we then re-distribute to non-profits that use them in various ways.
